LAS VEGAS — The Global Gaming Expo, better known as ‘G2E’ among the industry, featured the latest in casino gaming technology. It was held last week inside The Sands Expo here in Las Vegas.

Attendees had the opportunity to try out the newest slot machines, roulette wheels, table games and even sports betting. Esports and mobile gaming were also big topics at this year’s expo. In addition, it featured the 20th NCRG Conference on Gambling and Addiction.

We’ve all seen, and maybe even played, the Wheel of Fortune slots. However, IGT premiered their all-new Jeopardy! slot machines at the expo. It also features Double Jeopardy! and even Final Jeopardy! One big difference from the popular long-running game show is that casino players don’t have to answer any trivia questions.

Last Tuesday, IGT hosted Jeopardy! champion James Holzhauer at its booth. Attendees were able to play trivia against James and take photos with him. Earlier in the year, he won 32 consecutive Jeopardy! games for a total of $2.46 million. He will return to the TV game show in November for its Tournament of Champions.

ACS/PlayOn premiered their cashless table gaming system. It allows players to use their debit card when playing table games such as blackjack, roulette and even poker. The technology also works with slot machines, as well.

“It keeps the guest in seat,” said Stephen Warner, founder of ACS PlayOn. “They don’t have to get up, go to the ATM or be inconvenienced in that fact. They stay here at the game. If its approved, I’ll allocate chips to them. If there’s any other players, I’m just going to continue to deal to those folks.”

Here’s how it works: Players just enter their debit card into a reader, decide how much they want to withdraw and enter their PIN number. Then, a player must agree to the debit card fee. He or she receives a receipt for the transaction. Finally, a betting slip prints for the dealer or the table game host and then game play begins.

Many people are probably wondering… what about credit cards?

“We’ve actually opted not to do credit,” Warner answered. “We don’t want to incur any debt to the customer. I used to be very involved very much so with credit allocations in various casinos. Certainly, we could do that, but we chose not to. Quite frankly from a responsible gaming standpoint, we just don’t want to hurt anybody or get them in trouble. Credit cards incur debt as well all know. If they don’t have the money when they utilize our system, they’ve got to push away.”

Not only is PlayOn cashless gaming great for the players, but also helps casinos to increase their revenues. The company is currently testing out the machines at Red Rock Resort and Palace Station casinos.

Sketchers also showed off their new comfortable work shoes for casino workers who spend lots of time on their feet.

The Global Gaming Expo will return to Las Vegas next year from October 6-8, 2020.

Jeopardy is a really fun slot where you win by landing winning paylines and unlike many games, betting more doesn't increase your line wins, but awards you additional benefits in the bonus such as more frequent Daily Doubles and a greater chance at Jackpots.

I was surprised there was no trivia 😂 not sure that jeopardy fans will love it but I’m sure top dollar fans will 😊 i notices that during the bonus spins without the jeopardy symbol a lot of the time crazy things like 2x 3x 7 would appear! Seems a little cruel!
